Well you have to hand it to them; Dublin City Council at least has a sense of humor. I happened across this billboard in Pearse St. Train Station last week. In the midst of the wettest summer in living memory our Councilors’ are spending a fortune telling the silly Dubs not to be out watering our gardens. It beggars belief! For the last two months it hasn't even been possible to get out into the garden as it has been raining continuously. My lovely Meadow's & Byrnes chairs have barely had a single posterior on them. Are they afraid we'll attempt a mass revolt and turn the entire city into a swamp? Dublin has experienced the wettest June since 1958, with over 200% of normal rainfall. July has been even worse. If there is one thing that is not precious at the moment in this country it’s bloody water (except if you live in Galway)! Anyway, I have get the hose out, I think in the distance I see a break in the clouds, we all know what that means... time to water the grass.
